Shapes

From a young age I have been fascinated and mesmerized by shapes and patterns.

My childhood bedroom curtains had a repeating triangle pattern.

Early and repeated visits to the science museum in Birmingham (UK) [which is sadly no longer there] enabled me to experience 3-Dimensional shapes years before they were introduce in school. From the science museum shop I got a book to create my own paper models of 3-Dimensional shapes from nets.

Whilst at uni I started creating my own nets. I continue to make shapes and am developing that further with Laura's Shapes.

I spoke briefly at PaperCamp2 (October 2010) about some of my shapes. It was totally unplanned. There was a free slot available so I stepped up. Here's a write up of PaperCamp2.

Here are some of the shapes I have created.
